What is Permanent Makeup?

Permanent makeup is the implantation of pigment into the dermal layer of skin with a tattoo machine or manual handtool. Enhancing your natural beauty with permanent makeup is completely safe and always in style. The width and contour of the lines can be controlled with placement of pigment that softly enhances the face even when you are not wearing other makeup.

What pigments are used & how are they applied?

The SPCP provides it's members a list of  safe and high quality pigment manufacturers/suppliers. Some that I am currently using include, Lasting Impressions, Derma International and Micropigmentation Center.

The procedure to be done will determine which pigment line I choose.  I am very knowledgeable about the lines I work with and know how they heal into the skin.

I am trained in the use of  several  machines ranging from "pen type" to Neo-Tat and traditional Coil I also am fond of the "Hand Method" and incorporate it into almost all of my procedures.

All needles are single use. Machines and hand tools are set up in front of the client so they can see the needle is new and just for their procedure. All needles are disposed of immediately after the procedure in an approved "Sharps Container " in accordance to OSHA standard.

I decide which to use for your special needs , as each person is different.

Who has this done?

Permanent make-up has a time saving benefit of not having to apply make-up everyday. Wake up looking your best without having to do much more.

    Career women

    Busy moms

    Athletic women

Anyone with allergies to conventional makeup

    Anyone with vision problems

    Contact lens wearers

    Elderly women

Men and women with hair loss due to alopicia or have sparse hair growth

What color should I chose?

When you come in for your consultation you should wear the make-up that you normally wear on a daily basis. I will suggest colors that are in that color family. Pigment colors are chosen to best match the color family of your make up. An EXACT match to your favorite lipstick or brow pencil is  NOT promised, but the healed result of the pigment chosen will be in that color family and is usually much like the cosmetics you have shown me.

Permanent make-up should be thought of as a base that you can always add to with conventional make-up for a more dramatic look for evening or a special event.

Will it look natural?

My goal at "Bellafaccia" is to give you exactly what you ask for. The "natural" look is most requested. Your features will be defined to your specifications with the colors you request and what we decide on together.

All boundary lines are shown to you, before I lay down the first pass, for your approval. If you have a correction, I make it. Once you give me the go ahead, I lay down the first pass boundary line.

This is YOUR face and YOUR procedure!!!

Will it always be in style?

At Bellafaccia our goal is to use colors that are suited to you, not the times. If you want to change colors in the future, that can be done. You are never locked into a certain color or certain look forever.  At "Bellafaccia" my goal is to use colors that are suited to you, not the times. If you want to change colors in the future, that can be done to an extent.  By maintaining an "enhanced"  natural look with your permanent make-up, that will always be "in style".

How much will it cost?

A personal consultation in my studio is the only way I can give you an exact quote on the price for the procedure you are seeking.  Call me to set up a consultation appointment

What are the benefits?

Just think, you can swim, run, play, sleep, steam and not have your make-up be affected. Wake up looking great, go to bed looking great and all day in between.

The time saved not having to apply make-up and take it off is amazing. It’s what you’ve been waiting for all your life!

Does it hurt?

This is the MOST asked question!!  At "Bellafaccia" I want you to have the most comfortable procedure possible! I use only the finest in topical anesthetics.

Everyone has a different experience. Some say it feels like a tickling sensation or vibration, some say a slight scratching sensation and some feel nothing at all.  I have a lot of clients who fall asleep during their procedure!

The first several hours after the procedure  are accompanied with minor soreness, but not unbearable.

At your consultation your monthly cycle is taken in consideration when scheduling your procedure date. Also, stress can add sensitivity and if you have a stressful situation arise, you are informed to call and reschedule your procedure date.

How long does it take?

Most procedures are 1 ½ - 2 hours. If you are having more than one procedure done, it could be 3-4 hours. Your comfort level will be monitored.

What happens during the healing period?

All procedures have a 4-6 week healing period. The area will heal over and the surface will slough off. The color left behind will be 10 – 50% lighter than when first applied. As the weeks go by the pigment surfaces and the color stabilizes. At the end of the healing period you return for a final result photo.

What about infection?

Our number one priority at "Bellafaccia" is your safety! Everything we use is sterile and sanitary. We do all we can to insure you a safe procedure. Yes, there is always a risk of infection but it is relatively low compared to other types of procedures.

Will I swell?

There might be a small to moderate amount of swelling and some redness at the procedure area's). This varies greatly from one person to another.

The time line is 6 – 12 hours for eyebrows and 24 – 48 hours for lip & eyeliner procedures. Once again, everyone is different.

Is it safe?

Sterilization and Sanitation

Our number one concern is your safety! We adhere to strict autoclave sterilization practices, which are according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guidelines, for our equipment. Each procedure is done with a pre-packaged sterilized needle and disposed of after each use.

We assemble our equipment in front of you so you are assured of cleanliness and safety.

Items that don’t require sterilization are sanitized with hospital grade disinfectant and or 70% isoprophal alcohol.

Ophthalmologists and physicians medically approve permanent make-up.
